Twitter "Reviews" for the week ended 14th March 2010

Out of the Past (47, Tourneur) 70 Cronenberg must have watched this before A History of Violence. Slightly too overwrought to be great.

Exit Through the Gift Shop (10, Banksy) 83 Searing indictment of the commercial art scene that questions the fundamentals of art. Funny too.

Crazy Heart (09, Cooper) 68 Neither the movie or the actors strays too far from it's comfort zone. We get all the redemption but zero pain.

Capitalism: A Love Story (09, Moore) 64 2nd Bill of Rights and Life Insurance segments rise above but the poor stunts and religion detract.

/The Godfather: Part II/ (74, Coppola) 97 Rewatching allows you to concentrate on the details but overall power of the film still there.

Crude (09, Berlinger) 58 Clearly an envirnomental and human disaster but the importance on celebrity and focus on US lawyer hamper.

American Madness (32, Capra) 92 Feels more current than most new releases, the despair of the times at forefront despite Capraesque ending.

Welcome (09, Lioret) 71 French romance meets Border Police Reality TV. The young lead has presence and the movie takes bold steps.Worthwhile
